”My boyfriend and I did the nature safari last Monday evening and it was awesome. Our guide was incredibly friendly and helpful and the way the evening ran was lovely. We got to know everyone in our group over some really nice vegan food, which was supplied by the tour, before heading out to see some wildlife by foot and by driving. We had an awesome trip, seeing wild boar, roe deer and moose. We actually were lucky in seeing a moose and her young. Our tour guide was so knowledgeable.”

”Pieter was extremely friendly and knowledgeable, and very flexible to adjust the tour to meet our expectations. After a very nice dinner on the verge of the forest, we went on a hike for about 1 hour to try to spot some deer, wild boar or moose. Unfortunately, we did not see anything at that stage and were beginning to feel a bit deflated. Our wait was well worth it as we finally managed to see a moose just a few meters away on the side of the road, on the edge of the forest. A few meters farther, we spotted another one. We had the most amazing experience, as the moose came down on the little dirt road, allowing us real close up. In the end, we saw 6 moose, which was great. The safari is a bit pricey but worth it as there is a real excitement in seeing these animals in the wild.”

”The moose safari was the absolute highlight of our trip to Stockholm! Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. I learned a lot about Stockholm wildlife and maybe it is worth to mention the Green Trails are very concerned with sustainability as well. Mind you, it is not a safari like you would have in Africa, the animals are incredibly shy and hard to spot, which made it the more exciting when we spotted a moose about 10 meters away! Overall a great experience and I will definitely try their kayaking tour next time I am in Stockholm.”

MTB Safari Stockholm: what to see?

Environment: We ride through tranquil nature reserve featuring gravel roads, open meadows, mixed forest, and wetlands. The route of the day is adapted to the season and the movement of local wildlife. We have carefully chosen the variations for full nature immersion, and to maximise your chances of seeing wildlife. We make use of forest gravel roads and easy trails that allow relaxed riding and frequent stops. As evening approaches, the landscape becomes especially atmospheric, with golden light filtering through the trees.

Wildlife: Evening is the best time to observe wildlife. Fallow deer are commonly seen grazing near forest edges, which is our focus animal. With some luck we may also spot roe deer, foxes, hares, and a wide variety of birdlife. Your guide will help you identify tracks, sounds, and animal behavior along the way.

This tour involves physical motion and being in healthy shape is therefore required.
Not suitable for children below 14 on a scheduled departure. During a private booking there is no age limit, as long as we have fitting bikes
This tour focuses not only seeing wildlife, but also experiencing nature - there is no wildlife guarantee. Note that our odds are good though, and on most trips we see animals!
