The Small Adventure in a nutshell
This tour is a short hike into Stockholm’s nature. If you’re on a small budget or on limited time but still want experience Sweden’s nature reserves than this is the tour for you. Walk through old forest, pick blue berries, have a campfire lunch, enjoy the views and even cliff jump if you want to! Prepare to be amazed how beautiful nature gets less then 30 minutes from the center . . .
What to see?
Environment: The walk goes through a mix of pine and leaf forest. Granite cliffs will rise from a blue lake. You will hike past deep forest, bogs (no danger for wet feet), and cliffs covered with ancient moss.
Wildlife: This close to Stockholm we rarely see big mammals, but smaller mammals such as hare or big birds like capercaillie are seen more regularly. The area is also full of small, colorful birds.

What to bring on this excursion
Clothing during kayaking: you want to have clothing that dries up quickly, so avoid cotton if possible! polyesters and synthetics (often seen in sport specific clothing) will do the job just fine.

- Optional: swimming gear for during the break

- This tour involves physical motion and being in healthy shape is therefore required.
- Not suitable for children below 16 on a scheduled departure. During a group booking there is no age limit.
You will meet your guide and the other joining participants at the meeting point. Here you will be introduced to the days’s program and what you can expect to see. We quickly hop into the van and make way towards the nature reserve. A drive less than half an hour away we arrive at the nature reserve, where we submerge our selves into the forest. We’ll walk through varying areas and you will be amazed how beautiful it gets so close to the inner city! We stop for lunch and a campfire, and learn some more about Sweden’s wildlife. During the rest of the break you can have a dip in the lake or even jump from the cliffs! After lunch we hike on over viewpoints and over narrow forest trails. Arriving back to the van you probably wish that the day was longer, but you’re very happy that you got to see some of Sweden’s nature during your stay in Stockholm! You will be dropped off at the meeting point after the tour.
This tour runs on Saturday from May up until September. For a private or custom tour any date between May and September is available.
